November around Clemmons and Winston-Salem has two big themes: honoring local veterans in the first half of the month, and getting a head start on holiday shopping in the second. Here are dated events for November 2026, pulled from the organizers' own listings. Plans can change, so check the organizer before you head out.

Saturday, November 7: Winston-Salem Triad Veterans Day Parade

The parade runs downtown from 10 AM to noon, starting on Fourth Street at Broad Street and heading toward Liberty Street. It's free and open to the public, according to the City of Winston-Salem's event calendar.

Plan for a rolling road closure: streets close as the parade reaches them and reopen as it passes each intersection. If you're driving in from Clemmons or Lewisville, park a few blocks away and walk over.

Tuesday, November 10: Clemmons Veterans Memorial Dedication

The Village of Clemmons is holding a dedication for its Veterans Memorial at 10 AM, at the flagpole at the Village Point Operations Center on Village Point Lake Drive. The Village's calendar describes it as a time to "honor the brave men and women who have served our country." The event is listed as accessible, and questions go to the Village of Clemmons.

Wednesday, November 11: Veterans Day

Veterans Day falls on a Wednesday this year. It's a state holiday in North Carolina, so many government offices will be closed. If you have something to file or a county office to visit that week, plan around it.

Saturday, November 14: Holiday Craft Fair in Clemmons

Clemmons Presbyterian Church on Clemmons Road is hosting a Holiday Craft Fair from 9 AM to 3 PM, according to Visit Winston-Salem's event listing. It's an easy local stop for handmade gifts without the drive downtown.

November 21 and 22: Piedmont Craftsmen Fair

This is the big one. The 63rd annual Piedmont Craftsmen Fair returns to the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

  • Saturday, November 21: 10 AM to 6 PM
  • Sunday, November 22: noon to 5 PM
  • Tickets: a one-day pass or a weekend pass, sold on Piedmont Craftsmen's website

Visit Winston-Salem's preview says the fair brings together more than 100 fine craft artists from across the country, with demonstrations and the chance to talk with the makers. Think pottery, jewelry, wood and metal work.

Can't make the fair weekend? Piedmont Craftsmen's gallery and shop on North Trade Street is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 4 PM, and its current exhibition runs through November 28.

Saturday, November 21: Holiday Market downtown

The 500 W 5th building in downtown Winston-Salem is bringing back its Holiday Market and Tree Lighting on November 21, starting at noon, according to YES! Weekly. Since it's the same day as the Craftsmen Fair, you can easily do both in one trip downtown.

Make a day of it

A simple plan for a November Saturday: walk the Craftsmen Fair in the morning, grab lunch downtown, then head back toward Clemmons or Lewisville before the evening traffic.
